This was from Wednesday this week. It is the vegetarian option. It is Cherry Tomatoes, Buffalo Mozzarella, Black Olives Grated Cheddar with Chives and Egg, otherwise know as a frittata. Its not cooked here, it gets backed in the oven and comes out a lovely golden colour.
This was served with Roast potatoes and Baton Carrots.

  1. I LOVED the blo Neverseconds, but i find it strange that id heard about her blog through food.inc and yahoo and google but i had never heard of yours. While it is VERY IMPORTANT that we showcase the negative aspects of food being served to children, i find your blog more important because it is A SOLUTION. it IS feasible to serve healthy nutritious delicious and affordable food, and it really doesnt take that much more effort.

    1. Thank you for your kind words. This is the point of my blog, to show that schools can produce good healthy food on a budget with some thought and a little bit more effort it can be done. Martha's bog never seconds is very good and should be shown to all school cooks/chefs as then they will take a look at there own food and hopefully have a rethink about what they are serving our kids. It is important that we teach primary school kids about healthy choices as when they go to secondary school there is more choice and they have to make the right one for them self s as will be too easy for them to choose chips everyday.
